MSA Trust

Financial Support and Welfare Benefits

This section aims to help you find out more about the financial support and benefits that may be available to people living with MSA, as well as carers.

Millions of pounds worth of entitlements goes unclaimed each year. People affected by MSA will usually have a range of needs that lead to significant extra costs, such as travel, equipment, heating and laundry. Claiming the right welfare benefits can make a real difference in managing your finances and giving you more control.

Not all benefits are means-tested so it’s important to check your entitlement to make sure you’re not missing out.

We hope this section will provide useful information about eligibility, including when and how to apply for financial support and benefits. Our Social Welfare Specialists can provide further information and support. This includes help with the completion of benefit application forms.
