John Telford
John Telford is a lay member of the Scientific Advisory Panel.
His late wife had MSA-P for twelve years. Because the original diagnosis was Parkinson’s, he had a long association with Parkinson’s UK where he became editor of the journal of the Special Parkinson’s Research Interest Group (SPRING). His background in organic chemistry research gave him the foundation for understanding the basics of diseases like Parkinson’s and MSA and he has written many articles translating complex concepts into accessible language including producing ‘blogs’ to explain MSA Trust’s research projects. John has three children and six grandchildren, lives in Leicester and enjoys playing the saxophone.
