Changes to swallowing
Changes to the mouth, throat and face muscles may result in times when your swallow is less efficient – particularly if you have an infection or you are tired.
A Speech and Language Therapist can advise you about how to keep your swallow safe and the types and consistency of food and fluids that are easiest and safest for you.
