Charity of the Year

What “Charity of the Year” means

Choosing the MSA Trust as your Charity of the Year is a meaningful way for your organisation to make a lasting difference to people living with multiple system atrophy (MSA) and the families who support them.

A Charity of the Year partnership goes beyond fundraising. It is a year-long relationship where your team can come together through events, challenges and volunteering opportunities that supports a charity while strengthening team spirit and workplace culture.

Want to get started?

If you think your employer, organisation or business may be interested in supporting people living with MSA, why not suggest the MSA Trust as their Charity of the Year?

For your organisation, it can:

  • Increase employee engagement and morale through shared purpose and activities.
  • Create opportunities for colleagues to connect and build relationships outside of their day-to-day roles.
  • Demonstrate your commitment to social responsibility and community impact.
  • Provide a rewarding partnership with a small charity where the difference your support makes is visible and tangible.

For the MSA community, your support helps us:

  • Provide specialist support and information to people living with MSA and those who care for them.
  • Fund vital services, support groups and resources across the UK.
  • Raise awareness of this devastating disease and its impact.
  • Ensure families affected by MSA receive the help they need when they need it most.

How Partnership works

  • Your workplace chooses the MSA Trust as your charity for a set period, typically a year, focusing on fundraising, awareness, and employee engagement around a shared cause.
  • Staff can take part in fundraising activities, events, or challenges to raise awareness and funds.
  • Donations raised go directly to vital support services, research, and advocacy for the MSA community.

What we can offer

As a small charity, we focus on providing practical support, including:

  • Guidance and ideas for fundraising activities
  • Promotional materials to help share your involvement
  • Company recognition and thanks for your team’s efforts
  • Highlighting your support on our website and social media
  • Options for staff to support fundraising events such as being on a cheer squad.

We many not be able to provide extensive on-site support, but we will work closely with you, providing fundraising support, resources, awareness materials and regular updates so your employees can see the real-world impact of their efforts and understand how they are helping people affected by MSA
