We are pleased to launch a new multiple system atrophy (MSA) healthcare professional training programme, developed in collaboration with the Neurology Academy.
As MSA is a rare neurological condition, many professionals may have limited contact with people affected by it. However, when they do, care needs can often be complex. Whether you’re just starting out in your career, or you’re an experienced practitioner, this training provides a helpful overview of many aspects of MSA diagnosis, treatment and management.Â
“The aim of the MSA education programme is to ensure that professionals are able to identify and manage the key symptoms of MSA, ensuring individuals are supported throughout their journey by the multidisciplinary team.” Professor Jalesh Panicker, consultant neurologist and Trustee for the MSA Trust
Structured into five modules, the programme begins with an introduction to the MSA pathway and core principles. Subsequent modules will be focused on different MSA symptoms, which will be relevant across many multi-disciplinary team roles. These will be released at a later date.
This online course is free to healthcare professionals and employees of third-sector organisations. It is available on-demand, allowing you to learn at your own pace and revisit sessions whenever needed. Explore the programme and start learning with Module one today.
