Sarah’s Wood was created in 2017 to mark 20 years of the MSA Trust, with the land generously donated by Sarah’s family. Inspired by Sarah and her life, the Wood in Sherwood Forest stands as a lasting symbol of hope and remembrance for everyone affected by MSA.
Over the years, it has become a special place for our community, home to events and projects, such as our:
“We visited the site in April to see my mum’s brick and loved how peaceful and tranquil the site is, a true place for reflection”

“Sarah’s Wood is a very special place. We bought a brick in the path for my husband a few years ago, but it took the children and me a while to visit. We are so glad we finally did, and now we look forward to coming every year. It is a place where we remember him and plant trees that we hope will grow and make this place even more beautiful. Visiting has helped us enormously and has become very important to our family.”

“It was very emotional seeing my dad’s brick but I was extremely proud to see his name and to remember how he handled his diagnosis with such dignity and strength. He will forever be an inspiration to our entire family and will be forever missed. Once again, a massive thank you to all the organisers. It really was a lovely day”
