Workplace Fundraising Ideas

Workplace fundraising

Fundraising at work is a great way to bring everyone together, boost employee moral, and raise money in support of a great cause. Below are just a few examples of how you can fundraise at work for the MSA trust.

Examples of fundraising:

  • Cake sale
  • Dress down day
  • Sweepstakes: World cup, Eurovision, Wimbledon
  • Seasonal ideas: Christmas raffle, Summer Sports Day
  • Team challenges
  • Celebrating MSA Awareness month

3,300 Mile Challenge

March is MSA Awareness Month. Get involved by signing up for the 3,300 Mile Challenge! We’re delighted to welcome you and your colleagues to this annual event, which brings together workplaces and communities from across the world to raise awareness of multiple system atrophy.

Workplaces can take part by creating a team page, connecting your Strava accounts, and tracking your miles together to see how far your team can go. Every mile completed represents one of the 3,300 people living with MSA in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.

Whether your team walks a mile a week or many miles a day, every step counts and together, you’ll help us reach our shared goal.

Team Challenges

Team challenges are a great way to bring people together and strengthen engagement and collaboration within your work place.

The Business Challenge is a corporate running challenge in the biggest cities across the UK. It’s open to organisations of all shapes and sizes, is suitable for groups large or small (minimum team of 4) and is great for all ages and abilities. If you’re tired of team building exercises, it’s a great way to invest in workforce wellbeing for a happier and healthier team.

Previous example of fundraising at work:

Take a look at Abbeychart’s charity football day. Their outstanding fundraising efforts helped raised vital funds to support the MSA Trust.

“Abbeychart took part in a charity football day in support of the MSA Trust. We were delighted to support the charity, which has a personal significance for members of our team. The event was a fantastic opportunity to come together, raise funds and awareness, and support the vital work the Trust does. It was a great example of teamwork, community spirit, and giving back.” – AbbeyChart

How we will support:

As a small charity, we focus on providing practical support, including:

  • Corporate fundraising officer to check-in with your organisation and provide ongoing advice and support
  • Company awareness on our various social media platforms
  • Fundraising resources such as t-shirts, information leaflets etc.

View our Champions of Change recognition page, where we celebrate all the amazing businesses, trusts, and foundations whose financial contributions and shared vision make it possible for us to continue supporting everyone affected by MSA.
