Representation and Promotion

The MSA Trust attend events and conferences to promote our work, raise awareness and share research findings wherever possible.

Our MSA Nurse Specialists attend the Parkinson’s Disease Nurse Specialist Association (PDNSA) annual conference, providing an opportunity to connect with existing Parkinson’s nurse colleagues and build relationships with new professionals. The conference also allows Parkinson’s nurses to learn more about the MSA Trust’s services, register for updates and resources, and meet the MSA Nurse Specialist covering their area.

Where resources allow, we also attend the annual Movement Disorder Society (MDS) Congress, one of the world’s leading events for professionals working in movement disorders. Bringing together neurologists, nurses, allied health professionals and researchers from across the globe, the congress provides valuable opportunities to raise awareness of the MSA Trust and establish connections with healthcare professionals and researchers. Attendance also helps our team stay informed about the latest developments in MSA research, treatment approaches and clinical practice, ensuring the support we provide reflects current evidence and best practice.

Throughout the year, our team attends regional healthcare events, including study days, educational meetings and professional networks. These events help us promote awareness of MSA, strengthen relationships with multidisciplinary healthcare teams and provide information and guidance to professionals supporting people affected by the condition.

The MSA Trust has also been represented at the International Congress of Multiple System Atrophy and conferences hosted by the Mission MSA, enabling us to share knowledge, collaborate with international colleagues and remain at the forefront of developments in the field.

In addition, researchers funded by the MSA Trust regularly present their findings at national and international conferences and publish their work in leading scientific and medical journals, helping to advance understanding of MSA worldwide.
