Our regional Support Group network is run by volunteers or our MSA Nurse Specialists, and meet usually two or three times during the year. Many people gain support from getting to know others in a similar situation to their own – whether they are someone with MSA, carers, family members or friends. Sharing ideas, tips, stories and experiences can really make a difference.
Support Group Leaders often arrange for speakers to attend to talk about local care and welfare services. Our MSA Nurse Specialists aim to attend each Support Group meeting at least once a year to talk about MSA in general and, where possible, to speak to individuals on a one-to-one basis.
You can find your nearest support group by checking the Support Group calendar. Please contact either the relevant Support Group Leader or our office if you would like to attend a meeting or find our further information.
We know that attending a Support Group is not always possible, perhaps because of distance or practical issues in getting to venues. Please do get in touch if you are struggling with attending a Support Group and we will do our best to help you.
