Culinary battle for MSA Trust….

March will see a rather interesting culinary challenge and fundraiser for MSA Trust – Roganic vs Rogan & Co

Tom Barnes is the Executive Chef for Simon Rogan’s Michelin starred restaurants. He looks after Simon’s North/West restaurants including Rogan & Co. in the Lake District – the battle scene for this culinary challenge!

Tom will be joined by his London counterpart, Executive Chef Oli Marlow, in a friendly battle between North and south. Along with their teams, Oli and Tom will each cook four dishes showcasing their respective restaurant’s unique style, in aid of their chosen charities. For every service, the winner will be decided by the diner, with Simon Rogan keeping a close eye as official referee. Each guest will vote for their favourite snack, starter, main and pudding with the share of the votes dictating the split of the charity pot.

Tom has kindly chosen MSA Trust in support of his father, Alan who was initially diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. Two years ago, he was re-diagnosed with MSA and referred to MSA Trust by his neurologist. Alan is managing his symptoms as best as possible while being cared for by his wife and family in Cumbria.

With this event, Tom aims to raise awareness of MSA but also hopes the fundraising will support more families affected by multiple system atrophy. His take on the event: “Really looking forward to the challenge, particularly cooking my favourite dish on the set menu – Caramelised Potato and Smoked Eel!”

Roganic vs Rogan & Co. will be replacing the restaurant’s (in Cartmel, Cumbria) regular lunch and dinner service from Monday 2nd to Friday 6th March. Book your table todayhttps://www.roganandco.co.uk/roganic-vs-rogan-and-co
