We are looking for new trustees! Two of our current trustees will be standing down at the end of their term in December 2017 and we seek trustees with any of the following:
- Income generating or marketing skills
- Experience of living with MSA (or a carer perspective)
- Experience of voluntary sector services for disadvantaged people
- Legal expertise, particularly in legacy and will making
- Experience of a Treasurer role
A full trustee recruitment pack is available to download below. The Trustee Board meets four times per year and each member gives commitment to representation on one of our sub-committees, which meet a further 2-4 times per year.
The Trust’s Vision is a world free of MSA and our Mission is to find the cause and, ultimately, cure for MSA. Until that day, we will do all we can to support people affected by MSA and to strive to ensure that they are not alone in their declining health. Trustees support the staff team to deliver the most effective services possible to those affected by MSA and to raise funds to support the highest calibre research into the cause of MSA.
In this, its 20th anniversary year the MSA Trust will appoint a 4th Nurse Specialist to support the services we already deliver. We have also just appointed, in conjunction with the Association of British Neurologists, a Clinical Research Fellow who we hope will take forward the clinical and research understanding of the disease. We are excited about our future and seek to appoint trustees who can help us to achieve our challenging goals.
How to apply:
To apply we will require both your CV and covering letter explaining why you want to be a trustee and what you could offer the Trust. If you wish to have an exploratory conversation with MSA Trust prior to formal application, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. The Closing date for applications is Sunday 30th April 2017 and a meeting with the current trustees will take place on Wednesday 10th May 2017 in Central London.
