Low blood pressure & monitoring

MSA commonly causes a drop in blood pressure when changing position for example, standing up from a sitting or lying position. This can put people at risk of falling. Your Specialist may ask you to record your blood pressure at home and our factsheet explains how to do this and what to do with this information. You can download the latest version of our ‘Monitoring Blood Pressure’ factsheet, as well as an easier to read version, from our Factsheet page.
