I have been told by my neuro specialist that he thinks i have MSA, I have problems chewing, swallowing, my walking has got alot unsteadier and i am getting pains in my neck and my back, Also i cannot sneeze as daft as it sounds i just keep gasping for breath but cannot sneeze. is this right? I am 45 yrs old.

Dad is also suffering with extreme sweating at night to the point where his bed is wet through every morning.. is this familiar to anyone? He has been asking today whether there might be anytihng he can take to inhibit the sweating.

Hi Boothy01, sorry I didnt reply to your post, I haven't been on for a while as the Forum all seemed to go a bit quiet but having logged on now I see there has been a fair bit of activity. Dad's sweating isn't every night either, he has regained some control over it by reducing the amount of bedding he has covering him. This does leave him waking up during the night cold but he prefers that to waking up drenched. The sneezing drives him mad....he has all the build up but no release, with hindsight this was one of his earlier symptoms.

Forgot to mention Dad has also started taking Sage tablets...2 in a morning, 2 at night. He started taking them at the same time has he adjusted his bedding so no real idea if they are having a positive effect.
