I lost my much-loved and admired sister-in-law Sarah Matheson to MSA. I know both how neglected and how agonizing this disease is. The work of the MSA Trust could hardly be more important and worthwhile.

Multiple System Atrophy is a rare disease which many people haven’t heard of. I’m helping to spread the word so more people know about MSA and can be supported with their diagnosis. The work the MSA Trust do is vital in making sure that people with MSA get the right kind of care.

Finding a cure is a mission for me. I love to help people all over the world. MSA needs to be conquered, and I am proud to help.

In 2013 we plan to appoint an additional specialist MSA nurse, build a local microsite to help direct our members to appropriate services in their area, and grow the number of support groups we have nationwide. To do this, we need your help. You can make a donation online, set up a regular direct debit to the Trust, take part in one of the many fundraising events we have on offer in 2013, or donate your time at a local support group.
The Trust will also be funding a new round of research grants later this year,  which will build on the research that is currently being undertaken and support our vision – a world free of MSA.
