Brad and Charlotte Adams, who climbed Africa’s Mt Kilimanjaro to raise funds and awareness for the Trust.
We are a small charity but are determined to make a big difference to the lives of people who are affected by MSA – people with MSA, their carers, family and friends.
This section looks at how you could get involved and help us to meet our goal.
It covers fundraising, raising awareness, running support groups and more, and you can find out how by using the tabs on the left… but we’ll leave the last words to some of our volunteers on why they feel so many people want to help the Trust carry out its work:
Elizabeth Brackenbury, sister of our founder Sarah Matheson, says, “Although I am no longer a trustee, I remain the East Midlands Support Group Leader, ably supported by Ian Jones and Margaret Palfreyman Biddulph. I really do think people are very reassured to find they are not the only ones coping with a strange and relatively unknown disease.”
Kelly Lupton from the West Country says, “As a military student nurse, I was lucky enough to spend one of my clinical placements at the Queen Alexandra Hospital Home. During this time I met Graham Shaw, a resident who has MSA. I had never heard of MSA before but, having learned more about the disease, I knew that raising money for the Trust would be a great reason to run the Birmingham half marathon.”

Thank you for your interest in helping our work.
