For Healthcare Professionals

Multiple system atrophy (MSA) is rare and many healthcare professionals may have a patient with MSA perhaps once or twice in their career.

We are committed to helping you provide the best possible care to MSA patients by offering education events and by sharing the knowledge and expertise of our MSA specialist nurses and research teams.

This section carries general information about the care and treatment of people with MSA as well as details of our research projects and references for further reading. You will also find information throughout this site that your patients may find helpful.

We would welcome the opportunity to provide you with further news on MSA. Please register as a professional member of the Trust (free of charge) and we will keep you updated as new thinking and developments emerge.

Thank you for your interest in the Trust and its work in supporting people whose lives are affected by MSA.

Health and Social Care Survey

We are currently undertaking our first ever survey of health and social care professionals and their knowledge and understanding of MSA. The findings will supply us with a greater understanding of what we need to do to support those people who are supporting patients with MSA.

The survey will take around 15 minutes to complete. We would be extremely grateful if you could find the time to complete the online survey which can be found here - thank you.
